Exhibitor Information
BOOTH FEES
Each booth is $450.00 if paid by 11-3-08. Fee increases to $500.00 after 11-3-08 (no exceptions). To reserve your space, fill out the application and mail back with full payment.
CANCELLATION/REFUND
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. A $150.00 processing fee per booth will be retained if written cancellation is received. No refunds will be made for cancellations received AFTER November 3, 2008.
SET UP
Monday, December 1, 2008, 4:00-6:00 pm and Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 8:00 - 11:30 am.
Our one-day format allows exhibitors to set up, tear down and leave the same day. MEMSPA will not be responsible for exhibits set up the night before. Registration with the Exhibit Coordinator will be held from 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. Exhibits must be set up by 11:30 a.m.
SHOW TIME
Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m. Please do not tear down until the close of the exhibit. Thank you.
EXHIBITOR KITS
Upon receipt of your application and payment, we will send an email confirmation of acceptance and forms for optional equipment and shipping from our display company.
BOOTH EQUIPMENT
The following items will be provided with your booth package: 8' x 10' draped exhibit booth - One 6' covered and skirted table - Two chairs - One wastebasket - Booth I.D. sign - Booth number. Show colors are blue and white.
UTILITIES
Electricity is built into the floor of the exhibit hall and is available for a flat fee based on wattage (pdf form). All electrical service must be ordered from MEMSPA and paid in advance. If you require electricity, please fill out and send the Convention & Exhibit Services Form with your application to MEMSPA.
BOOTH ASSIGNMENTS
Space assignments will begin in late October. Assignments are determinded by past record of participation, amount of space required, special needs, and a general grouping of the exhibits in the best interest of exhibitors and MEMSPA attendees, as determined by MEMSPA.
OVERNIGHT ACCOMODATIONS
Hotel reservations may not be made by phone. Reservation forms will be sent as applications are received.
LUNCH
In appreciation of your support, MEMSPA will provide two box lunches per booth. Additional lunches will be available for purchase.
PRIZE DRAWING - ATTENDEES
As an added incentive to keep our members in the exhibit hall, we hold prize drawings in the afternoon. Winners must be present to obtain prizes. This is your chance to show your product by donating a prize for the drawing. If you would like to make a contribution, please contact the MEMSPA office.
EXHIBITOR DRAWING
As a special "thank you" for your participation, all registered exhibitors will be entered into a special drawing to be held at the close of the show. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!
REGULATIONS GOVERNING MEMSPA EXHIBITORS
- Commercial exhibits at the MEMSPA State Conference are restricted to materials and/or services directly related to education. This Association reserves the right to decline or prohibit any exhibit which, in its judgment, is not suitable to the character of the exhibition. This reservation is all-inclusive and pertains to any person, company, product, or printed material.
- Exhibit fees must accompany application for space(s). Full payment due with application. Fees will be returned in the event space is over-subscribed. Those bearing the earliest postmark will be given preference. No booths will be reserved without payment.
- LIABILITY AND INSURANCE - The Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association, the convention hall management, or any officers or staff members will not be responsible for safety of the property of exhibitor's displays from theft, damage by fire, accident or other causes, at any time. Insurance can be purchased at your own expense.
- Banners, back-drops, etc., must meet with the fire regulations** not obstruct passage-ways or block the view of other exhibitors.
- Exhibits will be confined to the exhibit area only. This area will be designated by MEMSPA.
- It is understood that all business and distributions by the exhibitors will take place only in the designated permit area. Please show respect to neighboring booths by staying within your area. Thank you.
- Exhibitors may not give, exchange, or sublet any or all of their assigned space to another exhibitor without approval of MEMSPA.
- Hospitality Rooms hosted by exhibitors shall not be scheduled in conflict with conference programming (please confirm all hospitalities with MEMSPA).
- **INSTRUCTIONS FOR FIREPROOFING -
A solution of boric acid (4 oz.) and borax (9 oz.) to one gallon water is approved for flameproofing.

H. $250 Lunch Box Game Sponsor
This very successful game brings business to your booth! Each conference participant will receive a Lunch Box Game Card containing the name of each sponsor and their booth number. They will be instructed to take their game card to each participating booth to receive a stamp. Completed cards will go into a special drawing for cash prizes
