Imagine a Recess That Runs Itself
Can you imagine a day where recess runs so smoothly that no one ends up in your office afterward? A day where students solve their own conflicts, stay active, and return to class focused and ready to learn?
That’s the kind of day Playworks helps schools create.
You may already know Playworks for the coaches we place in schools to transform recess and strengthen school communities. But did you know we also offer Playworks PRO, a series of professional development workshops designed specifically for educators and school staff? Even better, these trainings can often be funded through state and federal programs. Here is some feedback from a recent training; “Fun and engaging”, “Too bad our whole staff couldn’t be present as it would have positively impacted our overall climate”
Practical, Proven, and Playful
Playworks PRO workshops provide hands-on strategies that help staff lead active, positive, and fun recess periods while building teamwork, communication, respect, and problem-solving skills.
Our most popular workshops include:
-
The Power of Play
-
Group Management
-
Indoor Recess Design
-
Youth Leadership
-
Recess Implementation
These trainings can range from 1.5 to 6 hours and can span several days, depending on your goals and schedule. Each session can be tailored to fit your school’s unique needs and priorities. Click on this Link for more details.
Continuous Support with SparkPlay
In addition to in-person training, Playworks offers SparkPlay, a subscription-based online resource that supports continuous, play-based learning for school and youth development staff. SparkPlay provides on-demand access to games, best practices, and professional guidance anytime, anywhere.
