Cynthia Nickel is proud Principal at Miller Elementary in Plymouth-Canton Community Schools. Leading with her heart has inspired her most rewarding career role: returning to serve as Principal of her childhood elementary school.
Her educational career includes 12 years as a classroom teacher and 15 years as a building and central office administrator. With her focus on servant leadership and putting people first- her goal is to serve, support and empower others to succeed.
Nickel is Region 1 President and has served in Region leadership roles since becoming a MEMSPA member in 2010.
Her educational background includes an Education Specialist in Administration & Supervision from Wayne State University, a Masters of Education in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Western Michigan University.
