Nominate an Assistant Principal of the Year

Each year, the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals Association accepts nominations for the MEMSPA Assistant Principal of the Year award, which is awarded at our Summer Leadership Institute.

This award is designed to recognize outstanding assistant principals whose contributions to the profession are exemplary and recognized by their peers and communities alike. The program honors assistant principals who have exhibited extraordinary leadership, commitment to their students and faculty, service to their communities and contributions to the overall profession, including their professional associations.

The winning elementary or middle level assistant principal nominee will also be the MEMSPA candidate for the National Association of Elementary School Principals' National Outstanding Assistant Principal. Nominations and supporting information are accepted from students, teachers, administrators, parents, and community groups.

Nominees must have an minimum of 2 years as a practicing assistant principal and have an active MEMSPA membership. Email jessa@memspa.org to verify your nominee's eligibility.
