MEMSPA Principal’s Award
The MEMSPA Principal’s Award is a student recognition chosen by the principal to honor one exiting-grade student who has made an outstanding, positive impact on the life and culture of the school.
About the MEMSPA Principal’s Award
This award is intended as a flexible, student-centered recognition that principals can adapt to fit their school’s unique culture and values. It is especially suited for honoring an exiting-grade student who has made a meaningful, positive impact on classmates, staff, and the broader school community.
Suggested ways to use this award
- Recognize one student from the exiting grade (for example, grade 5 or 8) who stands out for their contributions to the life of the school.
- Consider students who have shown exemplary achievement, growth, leadership, kindness, or service to classmates and staff.

Feel free to define the specific criteria locally, in collaboration with your staff and school community, so the award reflects what your school values most.

Present the certificate at a year-end assembly, awards program, or classroom celebration to publicly honor the student’s impact.
